Stanley Sculpt
Today I decided to do a sculpt of stanley's bust- Even if the design changes somewhat it is handy for some of those crazy angles to see just how much of the eyes you can see in a low angle, etc
It was really fun to make, quite relaxing

Character Design - Thus Far
These are very early explorations of the main character "Stanley" I really want something structural, especially when it comes to the face. Currently however my plan is to animate and clean up a certain amount using Digicel Flipbook, therefore the design must be simple- keeping the restrictions of cleaning up in that way in mind. The picture of Stanley on the riding mower is an example of how it could look using that program, I like how it is looking but there is still some stuff to work out. I guess when it comes down to it, the animation test will tell me what will work and what will cause me to go into early retirement.
Mower Reference Model
Though the option exists to use Maya/3D objects within traditional animation, I made this only for reference when it comes to drawing/animating from different crazy views. Helpful as it allows me to break from the generic 2 or 3 views that I tend to draw.

The Landscaper Hath Begun
Though school has not officially begun (another week) I may as well say the film has begun as it is all I can think about while myself slugging away at my manual labour summer job.
It was this job actually that inspired my fourth year film idea as of late. I consider the three or four years I spent there to be "Research"
